Longford Road I'm told this was because there was a Long ford through the River Sowe, near the current Blackburn Road (https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=19/52.44604/-1.48715)
Dillam Close Land formerly owned by Dillam Family who also owned Mallid Foundry near the railway bridge, currently the site of the Ambulance Station (Dillam == Mallid backwards)

Woodroffe Walk Thomas “Tommy” Woodroff, Teacher at the Foxford Elementary Road
Bayliss Avenue Ray Bayliss was the first headmaster of Grangehurst School which used the old buildings of Foxford Elementary School and was head of Longford Church of England school which closed approx 1963
Dodgson Close Mr Dodgson was the first headmaster of Foxford Comprehensive School, approx 1960.
Hanson Way Arthur Hanson and son Jack were local butchers and grazed cattle on fields used for this housing development.
Lole Close Jesse Lole was a local Coal Merchant who kept his horses on a field adjacent to this site.
Moore Close Frank Moore was a well respected local resident and Church Warden at St Thomas for over 50 years.
Harrow Close Eric Harrow was the local Pharmacist and a cheurch warden at St Thomas for many years.
Rudgard Avenue Rev Dore Rudgard was the first Vicar of the St Thomas church Longford.
