I had tried replacing this with a Cisco [[networking:cisco-1262-ap-upgrade-config|1262]] but I found the IOS cli confusing to get the right SSIDs and passwords configured as I wanted with multiple SSIDs connecting to different trunks. I should really just ry the WEb GUI and give in to joinng the point'n'click brigade for this. I'll probably have another go as I quite like the Cisco kit.

 So when I was offered two Ruckus 7363s I was interested to test how they worked, never really having heard of Ruckus before. These came with firmware to work with an external controller rather than standalone, so the first job was to reflash them with the standalone firmware.

+These can operate in two modes, one is controlled by a wireless controller, the other is Autonomous mode. The APs I received were of course set to controller mode so I needed to reflash them to Autonomous mode. Instructions from Ruckus were fine and the firmware could be found from their ftp site.
