3Com Cellplex 7000
This is a modular ATM based switch made by 3Com and part of the Core Builder family.
The top of the chassis houses two redundant power supplies and there is a 16×16 switch module in the next, thin slot, this also includes a serial and ethernet management port. Underneath that, there is space for a redundant switch module.
Modules are available with 155MB/s fibre and utp ports and an atm to ethernet bridge, the ethernet ports on this terminate on a telecoms style Centronics multiway connector. I believe they are 10MB/s only.
