 It was connected back to Telewest's network via a dual SDH ring operating at [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/STM-1|stm1]] or [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Optical_Carrier_transmission_rates#OC-3|oc3]] or 155MB/s. These rings were presented over single mode fibre (blue) with F type optical fibre connectors, four fibres in total, tx and rx for each ring
